celebrating the 20th century

bonjour!
I know it is a long time in between these things now but it is hard to find time to just sit down and write about camp when you are constantly experiencing camp. However, my momma told me that I need to get on it so I am.

Camp is good. This week is Explorers/Sports/Horse camp which is a little confusing but I think the system has worked so far today. Our speaker this week is Carlen Doekson (sp? sorry) and he is realllly funny...like actually funny, not just funny..."for a pastor" which is refreshing.

Today during "sticks" a brand new Jr. Counsellor broke his collar bone. Lucky for him he was emotionally prepared for tragedy seeing as he hit the ditch on the way out here yesterday. poor guy.

Other than that, not much is new. Tonight we had "80's" supper which was very enjoyable except for the fact that all the guys on the leadership team looked disgusting...but me and Amy looked pretty 85' if I do say so myself.

keep it______.

your sister's bangs, she cut them herself

well team it has been awhile. Camp is in full swing and today was our first day of kids camp. There are 152 kids here which is the maximum. It is semi-crazy having so many of them although it feels nice to have real camp out here finally. Who doesn't want to be singing "skiing in the snow" again??? In other news the whole menu out here has changed!
hahaha imagine...

I would just like to say that I only have like 5 songs on the itunes on this computer and it is becoming pretty monotonous..(except for Nelly Furtado's "promiscuous girl" of course) and I am just wondering if people have heard Justin Timberlake's new song. VERY disappointing. I thought that guy was onto something....and now I would rather listen to Nickelback.
hahaha imagine...

here are our staff t-shirts for the summer...

we are pretty happy with these, although still kinda wish there was a giant sun with "shine" written on it.

that's kris wearing a baby's t-shirt. he was annngggrrry.

peace out!!

Miss Independance Day

hello friends.

Well we survived Family Camp #1. There were huge amounts of people...at one point we served over 600 people. That was sure fun for the "delta force" dish team, let me tell you. The "Hunter Family" was a hit as well. That family has many talents..

So the weekend went without a hitch basically. Last night the staff had a "b" night....we went to BARRHEAD...had a BARBEQUE....we went on the BARGE and then watched "what about BOB?" while drinking BEER. just kidding of course, we drank BACARDI's. just kidding again.

Now we are into our first official week of camp "Leadership Camp" which is going pretty good so far (we're only 3 hours into it). We just had Amy and Kayleen lead us in some aquasizes in the pool. Then we are likely going tubing this afternoon. I for one am always happy to shower like 7 times a day.

well we have to run and train some "leaders of tomorrow"

happy 4th of july
